meet your designer
Hi, I'm an architect and interior designer based in Paris, originally from Costa Rica.
After earning my Architecture degree, I moved to Madrid to complete a Master's in Interior Design before beginning my career at Gensler, one of the world's leading architecture firms. Today, I lead Brand & Communication at Kipli, a French furniture and bedding brand, where I combine design, creative direction and visual storytelling.
Alongside my professional career, I founded The Unexpected Design.
The name comes from a simple belief: the best interiors are often shaped by the unexpected. The object you didn't plan to buy, the vintage piece you discovered while traveling, the artwork that makes you smile every time you walk past it, or the detail that quietly transforms a room.
I believe our homes should tell our stories, not just follow trends. Through The Unexpected Design, my goal is to help people create spaces filled with thoughtful, unexpected pieces they'll love coming home to.
The Unexpected Design was born from the idea that the most memorable interiors aren't created by perfection, but by the unexpected details that make you stop, smile and feel at home. Those are the pieces I love helping people discover.
